 Tournament Rules

 

I. House rules

  1. Bringing alcohol into all accommodation, venues and matches is strictly prohibited.
  2. The classrooms must be left in the same condition as on arrival.
  3. Drawing on the blackboards at the schools is prohibited.
  4. You are not allowed to play football inside the schools, the village hall or the sport halls.
  5. Change for the matches at your place of accommodation.
  6. There are showers at the schools.
  7. There must be peace and silence in the rooms at the time specified in the program.
  8. At least one responsible leader must stay overnight with the players
  9. All participants must bring an airbed and sleeping bag.
  10. Remove all football boots before entering schools, the clubhouse and all other indoor areas.

BREAKING ANY OF THESE RULES MY CAUSE AN IMMEDIATE EXPULSION FROM THE TOURNAMENT FOR BOTH PLAYERS AND LEADERS!

 

 

II. Tournament rules

  1. A win is worth three points; a draw is worth one point.
  2. If two or more teams in a group have the same number of points, their relative positions are determined as follows:Number of players: There is no limit as to how many players teams can bring to Nørhalne Cup. Between the matches teams can substitute as many players (registered in the tournament) as they wish.
    1. Results of matches between the teams concerned.
    2. Goal difference in all matches
    3. Goals scored in all matches
    4. Penalty shoot out
  3. A player is only allowed to play for one team during the tournament.
  4. A maximum of three players per team can be granted age dispensation, but only if the players are born within six months of the limit of the age group in question. In the 8-a-side and 5-a-side tournament, only two players per team may be granted age dispensation. To apply for dispensation you must submit a written request to us at www.norhalne-cup.dk  The names of players who have been granted dispensation will be published and the players concerned will need to be able to identify themselves at all times with passport or photo ID.
  5. The team-list from www.norhalne-cup.dk or www.norhalne-elite-cup.dk must be submitted on arrival with names, shirt numbers and ages of the players.
  6. On arrival, you must present identification papers specifying the ages of the players concerned - either passport, players license from the football federation or certificate of civil registration number.
  7. All players must wear numbered shirts. If you do not have numbered shirts, please inform us on arrival in Nørhalne.
  8. Two sets of team shirts in two different colours must be brought to each game.
  9. The teams must bring their own footballs for warming up.
  10. Protests must be submitted no later than 30 min. after the end of the match. A fee of DKK 1,000 must accompany the protest. This fee will be returned if the protest is upheld. All protests and complaints shall be made to the Tournament Committee, whose decision is final and binding.
  11. All disputes will be determined by the official tournament committee. Members of the committee are: Per Jeppesen, Martin Frandsen and Claus Svendsen.

 

III: Laws of the game

  1. All matches at Nørhalne Cup will be played under the rules of the International Football Association Board (IFAB) unless otherwise is stated here.
  2. Match duration:
    • normal tournament - 5-a-side :  2 x 15 minutes
    • normal tournament - 8- and 11-a-side :  2 x 20 minutes
    • elite tournament - 8- and 11-a-side :  2 x 25 minutes
  3. The ball:The teams must be ready dressed and ready to play at the ground 20 minutes before kick-off. If a team is not on the field of play and ready to start a match within 8 minutes after the scheduled kick-off time, this team will forfeit the match. The tournament management can, however, dispense with this rule and decide that the match is to be played at a later time, in which case the result of this rescheduled match will be valid in the tournament.
    • size 4:  girls U09-U15, boys U09-U14
    • size 5:  all other classes
  4. If both teams are wearing the same colours, the first-named team must change.
  5. Number of players:Substitutions:
    • 5-a-side:  5 + 3 substitutes
    • 8-a-side:  8 + 5 substitutes
    • 11-a-side:  11 + 5 substitutes

  6. Substitutions can only be made during a break in play and only with the referee’s permission. Rolling substitution (re-entry of a player) is allowed
  7. Disciplinary sanctionsSuspended players:
    1. A player that gets cautioned (yellow card) will automatically be suspended from the match for 5 minutes.
      Exception: 5-a-side games.
    2. Two bookings in one match will result in a sending off (red card) for the rest of the match. The player will be included in the referee's match report and he will automatically be suspended for the next match.
    3. A direct red card results in a sending off for the rest of the match, and the player will be included in the referee's match report and will automatically be suspended in the next match. Following evaluation of the referee's match report, the Tournament Committee can decide to impose a suspension of more than one match. Serious offences will be reported to the national football association of the country of the club concerned.

  8. Players that have been suspended from the game by a red card – no matter if it is the result of a second yellow card or a direct red card – will automatically be suspended for the next match of their team.
    It is in the responsibility of the team not to use a player during a suspension. On violation of the rule, the game will be counted as a loss for that team by 0:3, the opposing team will be counted as winner by 3:0.

special rules

 

11-a-side

  • 11 a side Boys U12 
  1. A corner kick can be performed at a point on the goal line between the goal area and the side line.

8-a-side

  1. Offside rule doesn't apply on small pitches.
  2. The kick off can be kicked in any given direction.
  3. Distance at free kicks: 7 Meter
  4. Penalty: the penalty kick has to be executed 8 meters away from the goal lne in the middle oft he goal.
  5. All free kicks are direct free kicks. However, if a free kick is awarded to the attacking team in the opponent's penalty area, which according to the Laws of the Game is an indirect free kick, the free kick has to be taken outside of the penalty area, closest to where the free kick is awarded.
  • 8 a side U10 - U11 - U12 
  1. A corner kick can be performed at a point on the goal line between the goal area and the side line.
  • 8 a side U10
  1. The goalkeeper may hold the ball in his hands for more than 6 seconds.
  2. The goalkeeper is allowed to handle any back-passes from teammates
  3. Goal kicks can be performed both as a kick and as a throw in. The same rule is applied for free kicks in the teams own goal area.

5-a-side

  1. Offside rule doesn't apply on small pitches.
  2. The kick off can be kicked in any given direction.
  3. Both boys and girls are allowed to play on a team.
  4. Distance at free kicks: 5 Meter, distance at throw in: 2 Meter
  5. Penalty: the penalty kick has to be executed 5 meters away from the goal line
  6. The goalkeeper may hold the ball in his hands for more than 6 seconds.
  7. The goalkeeper is allowed to handle any back-passes from teammates
  8. Goal kicks can be performed both as a kick and as a throw in. The same rule is applied for free kicks in the teams own goal area. The kick or throw is valid even though it is not kicked or thrown directly out o the goal area. The keeper is also allowed to pick up the ball before it touches another player
  9. A corner kick can be performed at a point on the goal line between the goal area and the side line.
  10. A yellow card will not result in a time-limited suspension from the match.
