Standard accommodation at Nørhalne Cup is at schools.
Schools are open for arriving teams from 17.00 on Wednesday until the tournament ends at 10.00 on Sunday. Each participant brings a single airbed and sleeping bag. Showers are available for use at the schools.
At the schools there are a number of house rules that must be complied with and we also have full supervision at all schools with a manned information service who makes rounds at the school in accordance with the instructions of the local fire authorities.
At many schools a room has been set up where coaches and others affiliated with the teams can enjoy a cup of coffee and the chance to talk to colleagues and competitors in the evening.
Breakfast is served at all schools, and the vast majority of schools also serve dinner in the evening. One or two of the smaller schools do not serve evening meals, in which case participants can take one of the free tournament buses which depart every 15 minutes to the nearest major school. Please refer to meal venues / meal times.
On arrival at the school, a welcome folder will be issued containing all necessary information and any last-minute amendments to the tournament schedule. The folder will also contain tickets to Fårup Sommerland for those who have purchased a card, and all players and coaches will receive wristbands which must be worn at all times during the tournament. These wristbands entitle the wearer to the meals provided.
Should a wristband be broken, it can be exchanged at the Information service at the school concerned or by contacting the main Information service in Nørhalne.
Unfortunately, we have been forced to introduce a new sanction in connection with accommodation at schools. A deposit of DKK 750 or € 100 will be charged to each team on arrival, which will be returned on departure provided that the premises are left in the same state as on arrival. If a club has 3 or more teams at the same school, the total deposit will be DKK 2,000 or alternatively an individual deposit for each team can be paid depending on what the club in question prefers.
Internet is available at the schools – either as a wireless network, for which an access code can be obtained from Information, or else a number of computers are made available that can be accessed by participants. These computers are to be used to obtain information concerning the tournament schedule and bus timetables. Such information will be available on our website and will be updated every hour throughout the day.
If you have any questions regarding school accommodation or if you require information about Hotels / Holiday resorts, please contact Martin Frandsen - Cup@ifn.dk
