Nørhalne Cup 2020 update
At Fremad Nørhalne we are doing our utmost to be able to host Nørhalne Cup 2020 in a bid to bring joy and football back onto the agenda in these difficult times, yet at the same time we are determined to do everything we can to ensure the safety of everyone taking part.
It is difficult to know where we will stand with regard to the extent of the spread of coronavirus by the end of May, and Nørhalne Cup is following the advice of the Danish authorities closely.
Nørhalne Cup is an international tournament, and, as such, we are keeping a close eye on any information with respect to closed borders, ferry and airline traffic, such that all teams entering the tournament will be able to get here in May 2020.
Nørhalne Cup is assessing the situation on an ongoing basis and has chosen to take a decision with regard to holding the tournament which is in line with the extension of the restrictions that will now remain in place until 13 April, as recently announced by the Danish Prime Minister.
We will therefore be making a formal announcement by Monday 13 April at the latest, which is also the deadline for registration.
390 teams are currently signed up to take part in this year’s tournament.

The tournament welcomes around 475 teams from all over Europe – normally 15-18 nations in the tournament
There are international games in all classes due to the large number of Countries and teams, which are also entered at levels A and B.
Nørhalne Cup is being played in 5-a-side
groups, 8-a-side and 11 a side.
At Nørhalne Cup the focus is on football and the chance to play matches against teams from other countries.
Accommodation standard is in schools, but we offer Hotel and Holiday Centre and Youth Hostels as well.

This is the 16th year of the tournament, and is a popular tournament for many professional clubs from a wide range of countries such as
England, Brazil, Germany, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium, leading clubs in Sweden and Norway, as well as teams from Finland and from the best divisions in Denmark.
